"A Little Bit of Autumnal Music" - Concert by Women of the UC Chamber Chorus & Marika Kuzma, Director October 23, 2009 All Day
Parent Program: --
Description Join us for "A Little Bit of Autumnal Music," a free concert by Women of the UC Chamber Chorus and Marika Kuzma, Director, on Friday, October 23 at 5:30pm in MSRI's Simons Auditorium.

Program: Johannes Brahms, Opus 17 for Women's Chorus, Harp, and Horns; plus selections from the German Lieder repertoire.

The four gorgeous Romantic part-songs of Opus 17 for women's chorus by Brahms are rarely heard or recorded, so this will be a treat. Brahms chose the horns to evoke a feeling of the forest and the harp to evoke wind and water, and they evoke a pastoral autumn setting.

Free and open to the public

Parking: Please note that parking in the lot between MSRI and the Space Sciences Lab (SSL) is available free-of-charge after 5 pm. The lot is reached from Centennial Drive by turning onto the "Gauss Way" access road that leads to MSRI and SSL. Disabled parking spaces are located at the entrance to MSRI's Chern Hall. Additional free parking is available only after 5 pm in the Institute's terraced hillside loop of parking spaces (upper two lots), which is accessed directly off Centennial Drive and requires walking up 95+ steps to the MSRI building.
