2013 CME Group-MSRI Prize
The 8th annual CME Group-MSRI Prize in Innovative Quantitative Applications was awarded to BENGT HOLMSTRÖM, the Paul A. Samuelson Professor of Economics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, on Monday, October 21, at a luncheon in Chicago. By invitation only.
Prior to the lunch and award presentation, a panel discussion on “Liquidity and High-Frequency Trading” will be held with James J. Angel (Associate Professor, Georgetown University), Eric Budish (Associate Professor of Economics, University of Chicago Booth School of Business), Bryan Durkin (Chief Operating Officer, CME Group), Terry Hendershott (Cheryl and Christian Valentine Chair and Associate Professor, University of California, Berkeley Haas School of Business), and moderated by Myron Scholes (Frank E. Buck Professor of Finance Emeritus, Stanford University).
The annual CME Group-MSRI Prize is awarded to an individual or a group, to recognize originality and innovation in the use of mathematical, statistical or computational methods for the study of the behavior of markets, and more broadly of economics.
