Jon Scieskza, founder of the literacy initiative Guys Read, first National Ambassador for Young People’s Literature, and author of The Stinky Cheese Man will read and show some Math Curse, a bit of Science Verse, and all of the most mathematical parts of his soon-to-be-published Frank Einstein & the Antimatter Motor.

Chris Raschka, a 2006 recipient of the Caldecott Medal for illustration of The Hello, Goodbye Window written by Norman Juster, will read two children’s jazz books of which he is both author and illustrator: Mysterious Thelonious and Charlie Parker Played Be Bop.

Deborah Heiligman, a 2010 National Book Award finalist for Charles and Emma: The Darwins’ Leap of Faith, will read The Boy Who Loved Math: The Improbable Life of Paul Erdös, a surprise hit with readers since its publication in 2013 and honored by both the National Council of Teachers of English and with the Cook Prize in STEM literature.
