Come celebrate math with puzzles, games, magic, and much more!
Kids ages 8 and up, and grown-ups who are kids at heart, will enjoy this afternoon filled with a dozen or more different hands-on activities.
The event honors the life and work of Martin Gardner, former Scientific American columnist who inspired a generation to grow up to become mathematicians.
11:00 - 12:00 Hands-on activities at many different stations throughout the building
12:00 - 12:30 Main stage show!
12:30 - 1:00 Costume contest -- dress as your favorite Alice in Wonderland character and win a prize!
1:00 - 3:00 Hands-on activities at many stations throughout the building

A NOTE ABOUT TIMING: Please note we made a slight change to the schedule as originally advertised: The event will start at 11 am (not at 12 noon), and we encourage you to arrive on time as there is Cal Bears football game scheduled for the same day. The start time of the game will be either 12:00 or 12:30.
Access to Centennial Drive might be interrupted as early as 2 hours before kick-off. We recommend using an alternate route driving to MSRI:
From Berkeley: Take Marin Avenue, turn right at top of the hill onto Grizzly Peak Blvd and travel for approximately 1 mile and turn right onto Centennial Drive. Turn left into Gauss Way. You may park in any marked parking space to your left. MSRI is at the very end of Gauss Way to you right. We have three handicapped parking spots next to the entrance of our building.
From Oakland, Walnut Creek, or the South Bay: Take 24 West and exit at Fish Ranch Road. Follow Fish Ranch up the hill to the stop sign and turn right onto Grizzly Peak Blvd. At the next stop sign (after 3 miles), turn left onto Centennial Drive. Turn left into Gauss Way.
