The Program: MSRI and Illustrative Mathematics are partnering to offer a new 4-part webinar series this spring, connected to an education forum which took place at the 2015 National Math Festival in Washington, D.C.
Audience: The intended audience for this series is classroom teachers, mathematics coaches, district and state level math experts, or math teacher leaders that develop or facilitate professional development.
The dates: The webinars take place 1 Thursday per month (7-8 pm Eastern time / 4-5 pm Pacific time) via internet browser, from February to May 2016. Attendees can sign up for the full series or for individual lectures.
The format: Each Virtual Lecture Series is an hour long session featuring a national expert as a guest speaker. Participants will watch a short video together, and then the speaker will present live for 20 minutes, followed by an additional 20 minutes of discussion with participants.
