Description

At the Julia Robinson Mathematics Festival at Stanford University, students in grades 6–12 are invited to test their brainpower and enjoy a hands-on learning experience covering a wide variety of math topics.  Students will circulate among activity tables and test their math skills on puzzles, games, and problems.  Students will be rewarded for their creativity and persistence with raffle tickets for prizes such as books and games.  The Festival will take place on Saturday, May 11, 9am-1pm on the Stanford University campus in the Frances C. Arrillaga Alumni Center (McCaw Hall) at 326 Galvez Street, Stanford, CA.


Students are encouraged to register in advance online at https://hosted.msri.org/jrmf/2013/stanford/register. Registration is $10 per student or free, if a waiver is requested.  For additional information, the public can call MSRI at 510.642.0143 or send a message to jrmf@msri.org.

The Julia Robinson Mathematics Festival, a program of the Mathematical Sciences Research Institute (MSRI), was founded by Nancy Blachman at MSRI in 2007The Festival is sponsored by the desJardins/Blachman fund and Stanford Pre-Collegiate Studies.
