Abstract/Media

Several years ago, Givental introduced a way to understand genus 0 Gromov-Witten theory via linear symplectic geometry. In this approach, GW-invariants are encoded in a certain Lagrangian submanifold. The goal of this talk is to explain this construction and properties of the Lagrangian submanifold. We'll also discuss how various mirror theorems can be understood very naturally in this approach.
