Abstract/Media

Delta-matroids are a very natural and interesting generalization of classical matroids. I will start by telling you what they are and what their associated polytopes look like. Then I will describe how Delta-matroid polytope subdivisions play a prominent role in the study of tropical isotropic linear spaces, and how some of these results can be seen as a generalization of the theory of tropical linear spaces and their relation to classical matroid subdivisions.
