Classically a Prym variety is the anti-invariant part of the Jacobian of a curve with involution and no fixed points. I will consider
tropical analogs of Pryms in general, and particular examples of hyperelliptic curves and plane quintics. The latter is a very rich source of beautiful classical geometric constructions. We will see how far one can push the analogy and what are the obstacles.
