Title: Linearization Techniques in Free Boundary Problems

Abstract:
In this talk I will try to describe the general ideas behind linearization, energy decay and flatness improvement. These ideas have proven to be very powerful tools in analyzing the regularity of nonlinear partial differential equations and systems of equations. They also provide regularity of free boundaries.

We will start the seminar by describing what we mean by regularity theory and a very general criteria that implies regularity. We will then show how that criteria naturally fits into linearization of free boundaries.
