Title: Free boundary problems with surface tension

Abstract:
We are looking at free boundary problems with surface tension,
and in these lectures primarily Stefan problems.
From the physical point of view these are problems in intermediate scaling
where the free energy has both a bulk and a surface term.
From the analytical viewpoint we are dealing with functionals, whose first
variation contains a mean curvature term.
Afew basic notions of geometric measure theory will be introduced, enough to
define weak solutions of these equations, and then as an example the
Stefan Gibbs Thompson system will be treated.
