Abstract/Media

The parafermionic observable is a tool for explaining the properties of discrete models which are (at least believed to be) conformally invariant in the scaling limit. These models often converge to a form of SLE, and thus it is natural to investigate the degree to which the observable can be seen entirely in the continuum. After providing a definition of the observable for radial SLE, we will show how to derive a closed form formula for the observable even for non-holomorphic choices of the spin.
