Abstract/Media

Before studying cones of Betti tables over other other rings and with multigradings, it is good to get a picture of what the cone of Hilbert functions looks like. In some cases it is possible to give a complete picture of this cone, but in general the cone is much more complicated than in the standard graded case, suggesting that the corresponding cone of Betti table could be hard to describe.
