Abstract/Media

We will analyze torsion free groups definable in o-minimal structures, using the concept of "supersolvability". Among other things we will prove (or sketch the proof) that: Every torsion free group definable in an o-minimal structure is supersolvable.

Every connected simply connected supersolvable real Lie group is Lie isomorphic to a group definable in the real exponential field.
