We show that codimension one Jacobian of the barycentric straightening map is bounded for most of the higher rank symmetric spaces.
This fact gives the positivity of locally finite Gromov simplicial volume of Q-rank one lattices, surjectivity of comparison map for real rank 2 spaces
answering Dupont's question, and the degree theorem for Q-rank one locally symmetric spaces. This is joint work with Sungwoon Kim.
