Complete embedded surfaces with constant mean curvature (CMC) are critical for area with an enclosed volume constraint. They model physical systems like soap bubbles or fluid jets. After reviewing the geometry and moduli space theory for finite topology CMC surfaces, the special "coplanar" family will be explored using spherical metrics, complex projective structures and holomorphic quadratic differentials.
