Abstract/Media

Fractional order operators appear naturally in several geometric contexts that range from  the study of minimal surfaces with boundary to conformal geometry.

In this talk I will describe a geometric evolution equation that can be understood as a fractional analog to the Mean Curvature Flow. I will establish some analogies with the classical evolution

and I will particularly focus on the graphical case.

This is joint work with Enrico Valdinoci.
