Abstract/Media

In 1994, using arguments based on strong-weak coupling in string theory, Ashoke Sen predicted the dimensions of certain spaces of harmonic forms on monopole moduli spaces. In this colloquium I shall introduce the main characters in this story and describe recent work aimed at proving Sen’s conjectures.
