Abstract/Media

We study the asymptotic behavior of certain canonical geometric flows on projective manifolds, and relate it to algebraic stability and “optimal degenerations”.  This leads to a new proof of the Kahler-Einstein result on Fano manifolds via Kahler-Ricci flow. We will also explain potential applications in the existence problem of extremal Kahler metrics on general polarized manifolds via the Calabi flow. Some interesting questions will be discussed. Joint work with X. Chen and B. Wang.
