Abstract/Media

C. S. Peirce was one of the founders of American philosophy (along with John Dewey, William James, and Oliver Wendell Holmes, Jr.), a gadfly, polymath, and close to impossible to understand.  It turns out that he also invented (bad) magic tricks---these _do_ have some brilliant original things in them.  I'll try to use this insight to give a  fresh look at this amazing mind.
