Abstract/Media

In 1980 Stanley proved that the coefficients of the Ehrhart polynomial of a lattice zonotope (i.e., a Minkowski sum of lattice vectors) are nonnegative integers. I will review this result, and also describe a slight extension which recently came up in my research: namely, the number of points in any polytope plus a scaling lattice zonotope is given by a polynomial with nonnegative integer coefficients.
