Abstract/Media

This is a survey of an ongoing program that seeks to understand the algebra structure of certain operators on the K/Chow groups of the moduli spaces of stable sheaves on a general smooth surface. The goal is to generalize the old action of Nakajima, Grojnowski, Baranovsky in cohomology, as well as to extend it to the so-called deformed W-algebra. I will also show applications of this construction to gauge theory and to a purely geometric question pertaining to Hilbert schemes of K3 surfaces.
