In this talk I will discuss answers to the following questions:
1. What is an infinitesimal (super)group scheme?
2. What does the cohomology of an infinitesimal (super)group scheme look like?
3. What do support varieties for infinitesimal (super)group schemes look like?
Along the way, I may briefly "remind" the audience of some of the basic notions that were introduced by Jon Carlson, Sarah Witherspoon, and Vera Serganova in their workshop talks on February 2. Otherwise, I will (try to) assume no particular knowledge of this subject area. The "super" portions of this talk will be based on joint work with Jonathan Kujawa (contained in several papers posted on the arXiv).
