Abstract/Media

Mirror symmetry relates genus zero Gromov-Witten invariants counting holomorphic spheres in a Calabi-Yau manifold to periods of a holomorphic n-form on the mirror Calabi-Yau manifold. I will explain open mirror symmetry which relates (A) genus zero open Gromov-Witten invariants counting holomorphic disks in a Calabi-Yau manifold bounded by a special Lagrangian (or more generally, a Lagrangian with zero Maslov class), and (B) relative periods of a holomorphic n-form on the mirror Calabi-Yau manifold.
