Abstract/Media

I will discuss the self-gluing phenomena in Floer theories and the transversality issues caused by them.  Then I will propose a method of dealing with the self-gluing for cohomology type and A-infinity algebra/category type theory in the polyfold setting. The main example will be the $S^1$ valued Morse theory, I will show how our method yields the same result as the obstruction bundle gluing argument, the latter was worked out in Hutchings' blog post: https://floerhomology.wordpress.com/2014/07/14/gluing-a-flow-line-to-itself/.
