Abstract/Media

The moduli spaces of principally polarized abelian g-folds are of general type for g at least 7 and unirational for g at most 5. The proof for g at least 7 relies on an estimate of the slope of the moduli space (via the calculation of a divisor class) and the proofs for g at most 5 rely on parametrizations of the moduli spaces. Here we present a parametrization and divisor calculations for g=6 with the hope of determining the Kodaira dimension in this last remaining case. This is joint work with Alexeev, Donagi, Farkas and Ortega.
