Abstract/Media

Last time we saw the definition of spectra and saw Eilenberg-Maclane spectra. This time we'll discuss more examples. Depending on the path we take we'll see all or some of: Dold-Kan (how to think of any chain complex as a spectrum), the sphere spectrum and suspension spectra, the meaning of shifting, and if we go way too fast, we'll start talking about smash products more systematically.
