General Propaganda The general aim of this working group is to consider geometric and analytic problems on non-compact manifolds with complicated asymptotic structures, but where the complication can be dealt with in inductive fashion. Examples include stratified spaces (in particular projective varieties), several types of gauge-theoretic moduli spaces, configuration spaces and moduli spaces of Riemann surfaces. 

In this casual and friendly talk, I will attempt to do 3 things:

1) Remind attendees of some simple examples of iterative geometric structures which are also incomplete Riemannian manifolds.

2) Discuss the simplest (non-iterative) example of a Riemann moduli space with Weil-Petersson (WP) geometry and how one can approach analysis of elliptic operators on these spaces 

3) Describe general WP geometry and say something, anything, about analysis on these spaces.
