Abstract/Media

I will present a version of fractal uncertainty principle which improves over the volume bound. The method of proof is inspired by works of Dolgopyat and Naud on spectral gaps. An application (originally due to Naud) is an essential spectral gap on convex co-compact hyperbolic surfaces larger than the pressure gap, which implies the prime geodesic theorem with an exponentially small remainder.
