Support And Cohomology For Integrable Hopf Algebras

Abstract/Media

I will discuss recent work (joint with Julia Pevtsova) which concerns support theory for finite-dimensional Hopf algebras.  Our main Hopf algebras of interest are small quantum groups and Drinfeld doubles of finite group schemes.  At a basic level, support theory proposes that one can study the tensor category rep(u) of representations for a given Hopf algebra via the geometry of the spectrum Spec Ext_u(k,k) of self-extensions of the unit.

The talk will have two main parts.  The first part will be introductory and the second part will be specific to the work of J. Pevtsova and myself.
