A brief history of the previous great pandemic: Influenza A, 1918-1920.

Viruses are parasites: they only replicate themselves inside of cells. About once per century an Influenza. The great pandemic of 1918-1920 infected 500 million people (650,000 in the USA) and killed about 50 million. That pandemic will be the topic for our discussion.
