Abstract/Media

Where algorithmic unsolvability has been widespread in the various branches of mathematics, Gödel arithmetic undecidability remains  an oddity, apparently unrelated to mathematical practice. This will be discussed in the context of the history of mathematical monsters and contemporary mathematics.
