Abstract:

We work with Cohen's structure theory for complete discretely valued fields of mixed characteristic. By examining embeddings between such valued fields, we can understand some of the model theory of unramified henselian valued fields and find a relative quantifier elimination result, in the spirit of Delon and Bélair, suitable even in the case of an imperfect residue field. This is joint work with Franziska Jahnke.
