We will introduce the global Gan-Gross-Prasad conjecuture unitary group, for both Bessel periods and Fourier-Jacobi periods for codimension 1 and 0. And the we discuss some aspects of the proof, based on Jacquet-Rallis and Liu relative trace formula. If time permits, we will discuss the extension to Eisenstein case with applications to the case of higher codimension.
