Scaling limits of random walks in random environments
In this talk, we will consider the model of random walks in a random environment, which can be thought of as a discrete model for diffusing particles in a time-dependent random environment. I will present joint work with Sayan Das and Shalin Parekh on the weak convergence of this model to the multiplicative stochastic heat equation in a certain moderate deviation regime. I will also discuss an application to the fluctuations of the maximal particle in a system with N random walkers in the same environment.
