We consider the periodic 2D nonlinear Schrödinger equation for any Wick ordered power nonlinearity. We will consider random initial data, and motivate the introduction of the ansatz with random averaging operators. We will focus on the local theory, and sketch the main ideas of the proof. This talk is based on the works of Y. Deng, A. Nahmod, and H. Yue.
