Abstract: In recent years, various connections between the asymptotic behaviour of families of complex objects and non-archimedean geometry have been observed. We will report on joint work with Antoine Ducros and Ehud Hrushovski, showing that asymptotics of some complex integrals may be expressed in terms of the non-archimedean integrals recently introduced by Chambert-Loir and Ducros. To perform this we work on a non-archimedean field of non-standard reals considered long ago by A. Robinson.
