Abstract: We will discuss various conjectures one can make for the long-time behavior of solutions to infinite-dimensional Hamiltonian systems by invoking the principles of statistical mechanics. While the conjectures typically seem intractable for existing techniques (being related to some form of ergodicity), they may still give useful hints for what one might expect.
