Generation of decay for solutions to the Boltzmann equation
We discuss how solutions to the inhomogeneous Boltzmann equation with hard and moderately soft potentials generate any polynomial decay in velocity, pointwise in all variables. We introduce a suitable notion of weak solutions to be able to treat bounded spatial domains. This is joint work with Cyril Imbert.
