Genericity of ergodic averages on affine subspaces in horospheres
Due to ergodicity, almost all points on any horospherical leaf for the
action of a diagonal subgroup of SL(n, R) acting on SL(n, R)/SL(n, Z)
are generic for the ergodic averages. We are interested in finding precise
geometric and Diophantine conditions on lower dimensional submanifolds
of the horospherical leaves so that almost all points on the submanifold
are generic.
We will provide some motivation and discuss simpler cases. This is a
joint work with Pengyu Yang.
