Critically examining and challenging the system of mathematics as gatekeeper: The speakers will address how  mathematics is positioned as a gatekeeper/door, the consequences of this fact and how we interrogate and challenge current institutional systems, practices and underlying values that determine how mathematics is experienced, particularly for those historically marginalized because of race, class, gender, disability, and language
