The cubic Szegö equation is a nonlinear Hamiltonian equation on the Dirichlet space of holomorphic functions on the unit disc with a square integrable first derivative. I'll try to give an elementary overview of its main properties, including
the Lax pair structure, the explicit action angle coordinates, and the genericity of turbulent solutions.
