In this talk we will discuss type one and type two blowup for some nonlinear wave and Schrodinger equations with radial symmetry. In particular, we will apply the I - method to radial solutions, proving global well - posedness for initial data lying in a space slightly more regular than the critical Sobolev space. We will also discuss the exclusion of type two blowup solutions for the nonlinear wave equation.
