Log Correlated Fields, Extremes, Random Matrices, And Random Polynomials

Abstract/Media

To participate in this seminar, please register HERE.

Log correlated fields and their extremes are often analyzed through "folk theorems" relating them to branching random walk. I will present a general introduction to this fascinating field, and discuss some applications to RMT and to random polynomials. No background on branching random walks or log correlated fields will be assumed.
