Probability Of 2 Large Gaps For The Sine-Process

We consider the probability of 2 gaps in the bulk scaling limit of the Gaussian Unitary Ensemble. When the gaps and the interval between them are commensurably large, the asymptotics of the probability up to an unknown multiplicative constant were obtained by Deift, Its and Zhou in 1997. The asymptotics show oscillatory behaviour described by the theta-functions, and therefore differ dramatically from the 1 gap case. In a recent work of the speaker with Benjamin Fahs, the constant in question was obtained and various transition regimes were analyzed. We will discuss these results.
