In this installment of the career development seminar series, we will have a panel discussion about applying for grants, with a particular focus on grants available for young researchers through the NSF and Simons Foundation. Topics to be discussed include how grants are evaluated, what the grant agencies are looking for (including a discussion of the NSF's Intellectual Merit and Broader Impacts), which grants we can/should be applying for, and other information we should be aware of when submitting grant proposals.
