We discuss the limits of extremal length for three kinds of degenerating sequences of conformal dynamical systems, and explain how they can be combined to prove that hyperbolic components for PF maps with Sierpinski carpet Julia sets are compact. This is a sequel to the previous talk by the speaker, but it will be relatively self-contained.
