I will discuss one concrete application of ideas connected to Floer homotopy theory, trying to make it seem relevant to both Floer theorists and homotopy theorists. The application yields constraints on the topology of Hamiltonian fibrations. This talk reports on joint work with Mohammed Abouzaid and Mark McLean.
