I will describe recent work with Noah Porcelli on the degenerate Arnol'd conjecture. Specifically, we improve estimates by Hofer of the number of intersection points of two relatively exact Hamiltonian isotopic (possibly non-transverse) Lagrangians by combining a Lusternik-Schnirelmann type argument with homotopy theory.
