G2-instantons are distinguished connections on principal bundles over 7-dimensional G2-manifolds and play a significant role in theoretical physics and mathematical gauge theory. Moreover, Halverson and Morrison suggested that the behaviour of certain G2-instantons might be related to degenerations of the underlying manifold. In this talk I

will explain a method for producing new examples of G2-instantons over G2-manifolds arising from Joyce’s generalised Kummer constructions which exhibit the behaviour of Halverson’s and Morrison’s proposal. This method is based on a gluing theorem and uses finite group actions to overcome possible obstructions.
